Civilization is a hungry machine that requires constant growth and Iβm worried we wonβt make it through the current technological plateau, but as you say optimism is certainly a better tool to get us there than pessimistically believing we canβt. It's a short book, some chapters are more interesting than others. Always fun to see how people have been ringing the warning bell for decades...
